Room 1

Welcome to Room 1. We are a group of Year 4, 5 and 6 children. We love learning and using digital tools to help us.

 

This year we have 2 main foci with our learning;

To become confident self monitoring readers (which means we check that we read correctly and we understand what we read and if we don't then we use strategies to fix it).

To increase our Place Value knowledge to help us understand numbers and improve our maths strategies.

In Term 1 we are learning about;

• We are all Stars! (What is special and unique about us?)
• Hauora Week - Sunsmart (How to stay safe in the sun)
• Stars in the Sky (Space - Why can we only live on Earth?)

In Term 2 we will be learning about;

• Stars in the Sky (Space - Why can we only live on Earth?)
• Hauora Week - Body Image and Self Esteem (Feeling good about ourselves)
• Stars in our Lives (People in our lives who are Stars/Heroes)
