Duffy Books in Homes

We are lucky to be a Duffy Books in Homes school. Duffy Books in Homes fosters and promotes reading and literacy.

This initiative allows our students to receive up to 6 books free over the course of a year. These are books that they get to choose from a wide selection offered.

Each term, we also have a Duffy Hero visit us to speak to us about the importance reading plays in their lives and careers.

We also receive regular Duffy performances. These shows are performed by professional actors and engage the students in fantasy adventures where reading and/or books help to solve the problems the characters face.

These visits and shows engage and inspire the students.

The Duffy Books in Home website also has a parents section full of helpful ideas to promote reading and literacy at home and school.
